Attaining a business analytics certification assures an organization of your business analytics expertise. Medical Billing and Coding
Gain the skills needed to solve insurance billing problems, learn how to manually file claims (using the CPT and ICD-10 manual), complete common insurance forms, trace delinquent claims, appeal denied claims and use generic forms to streamline billing procedures. Materials covered include: CPT (Introduction, Guidelines, Evaluation and Management), specialty fields (such as surgery, radiology and laboratory), ICD-10 (Introduction and Guidelines) and basic claims processes for medical insurance and third party reimbursements. You will learn how to find the service and codes using manuals, (CPT, ICD-10 and HCPCS).

Certified Nursing Assistant
Are you interested in the healthcare field? Do you like to help others? Become a Certified Nursing Assistant! Our Certified Nursing Assistant program prepares you for the NYS Certification Exam and puts you on the path to success in your new career. The program is comprised of a total of 125 hours of training (70 hours classroom, 20 hours of lab, and 35 hours of clinical) which exceeds the minimum training requirements stipulated by NYS.
You will learn:
• Infection control procedures
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Safety and emergency procedures
• Basic nursing skills
• Personal care skills
• Mental health and social service needs
• Care of cognitively impaired residents
• Basic restorative services
• Residents’ rights
NYS Certification: New York State Certification is required. You will sit for the NYS exam upon successful completion of the course.
Clinical Experience: As part of this program, you will participate in a 35-hour clinical experience at a local healthcare facility.
Enrollment Requirements:
• At least 16 years of age
• A high school graduate, working on a G.E.D., or reading at a 9th-grade level
• In good health. Flu and Covid-19 vaccines required. MMR, Varicella, PPD, Tdap & Influenza immunization records must be provided by the first day of class
• Dependable, patient, and have a desire to help people
• Able to communicate well and have positive relationships with patients
• Attend an information session, February 22 or March 29
• Return CNA application by April 28
• Acceptance letters sent May 1
• Full tuition payment due May 12
*Tuition includes course textbook, all written materials, one set of scrubs, blood pressure cuff, stethoscope, name tag, and state exam fee. We strongly recommend that anyone interested in applying for the CNA program attend an information session.

Intro to Electrical Engineering
Build a well-rounded foundation in both technical and professional skills essential for careers in manufacturing, electrical engineering, and related fields. You will gain familiarity with key electrical engineering concepts including circuit components, basic microcontroller programming, and troubleshooting. Through a self-directed project supported by the instructor, you will begin developing and practicing leadership abilities such as time management, decision-making, and continuous improvement. We will emphasize communication through technical writing and presentations, while also reinforcing essential workplace behaviors like professionalism, teamwork, and reliability. You will practice safety protocols in a hands-on soldering workshop and explore career opportunities using tools like BLS.gov. Additional sessions introduce students to registered apprenticeship pathways and help them build job-seeking skills through resume writing, LinkedIn networking, and mock interview preparation.

Prerequisites: Intro to Electrical Engineering is a pre-apprenticeship program. Pre-apprenticeship provides students with necessary basic skills to thrive in and complete further education in the field. Through a SUNY initiative these programs are free to attend.
