CEMI311  –  Using Dialectical Behavior Therapy DBT

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an effective treatment for a variety of complex problems, including eating disorders and substance abuse. It has been used in a variety of settings and with a variety of audiences. Upon completion of the workshop, you will:
    • Learn the theoretical basis for DBT and how you can use it in your work
    • Learn how to use structural strategies including stages and targets of treatment
    • Identify what validation levels are and the function of validation strategies
    • Learn what the primary dialectic is in DBT is and how it is used
